A suicide bomber attacked a government office in Dand district of Kandahar on Monday noon – killing 8, including 5 cops and wounding other seven.
Major General Ghulam Ali Wahdat, the Regional Police Chief in southern Afghanistan confirmed the incident.
“The bomber detonated his suicide vest inside a government office in the district where national identity cards have been issued to Afghan citizens,” Maj.Gen Wahdad said.
The official said two cops, including the district police chief and five civilians have been also harmed in Dand attack.
Meanwhile, 3 cops have been killed in a roadside bomb in eastern Paktia province on Monday morning, Ministry of Interior says.
A statement from MoI declares a convoy of the provincial police was patrolling in Wozi-Zadran district when touched an Improvised Explosive Device IED on the road.
The Taliban have not claimed responsibly for attacks, even not in blast in their birthplace, Kandahar province.
