Bomber kills at least 21 police trainees

A suicide bomber blew himself up inside a police training compound in southern Uruzgan province killing 21 police officers and wounding eight others, on Monday February 02, 2009.

A press release by the Ministry of interior said the bomber who wore police uniform, strode into the Police compound, while the policemen were busy with training.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the wounded have been taken to the nearest hospital in the province.
