Women accused of working with police are shot dead by militants
TALIBAN militants have killed two women for working with police in the southern Ghazni province, an official said.
The two women were shot dead in the Urzo village on the outskirts of the provincial capital, the governor's spokesman, Ismail Jahangir, said.
He said the two victims were not working for the police.
However, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the females were employed in the crimes branch of the province's police headquarters.
They were murdered soon after their abduction from the village, he said.
Security chief Colonel Muhammad Zaman denied that women were employed at the police headquarters.
